A summer of theater, music, cinema... and everything for free in the Pereda Gardens.
The Botín Foundation and the Santander City Council will once again convert the Pereda Gardens into a space for theater, music, cinema and various artistic expressions, with the programming of 86 activities that can be enjoyed from from July 9 to September 18.
Among the artistic expressions that can be seen in this Santander space there will be nine performances by theater, music and showsdance, 21 films in three film cycles, 26 workshops for the development of creativity and 30 playful activities for the enjoyment of the gardens.
The community dance, with the students of the course organized by the Botín Foundation and the University of Cantabria, will be the first of the shows in this program, which can be seen in the amphitheater of the Botín Center, on July 9, at 7:00 p.m.
In this amphitheater they will also perform singer-songwriter Jaime Anglada, The group of Portuguese percussion Drumming, the Traveling Brothers, The Fulanos or the Cantabrian band Korokotta Dixie Band.
There will also be theatrical performances such as 'Don Quixote Inside', by Nerea Teatro, or 'Frankristina', from Bambalúa theater, as well as the music and dance show 'Vivaldi Project', by Soqquadro Italiano.
In cinema, the amphitheater will host the cycles 'Cinema and Gastronomy' and 'Movies of the year', in which, in addition to the projections, attendees will be able to enjoy a brief activity for the development of creativity with the chef Jesús Sánchez, he gastronomic critic José Luis Barreda, and the filmmaker Nacho Solana.
There will be, among other activities, a disc jockey workshop, a course linked to the exhibition of Sol LeWitt, and various events related to literature, music, theater, dance or photography.
